Car Donation Charities
Charity Car Program supports the following charities but the car donor decides who gets the cash!
BC Children’s Hospital is the province’s only full-service, pediatric acute-care hospital and serves the one million children living in BC and the Yukon. All children who are seriously ill or injured are referred to Children’s Hospital and are either treated at the Hospital in Vancouver or, in consultation with Children’s specialists, in their home community. Last year, more than 78,000 children were treated at Children’s Hospital. BC Children’s Hospital Foundation received donations from more than 120,000 people last year and had consolidated revenues of $56.4 million. Funds raised by the Foundation are used to support BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the Child & Family Research Institute. Since 1982, BC Children's Hospital Foundation has worked with children, families, caregivers and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians to give Children’s Hospital, and the Child & Family Research Institute the resources they need to excel. Through a wide range of fundraising events and opportunities, the Foundation is united with its donors by a single, simple passion - to improve the health and the lives of the young people who enter BC Children's Hospital every day.
The CKNW Orphans' Fund receives funding applications for families with children in need and from children's organizations who provide beneficial programs and services.
The BC SPCA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia.
The North Shore's Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific Unit 1 (Fisherman's Cove) and Unit 2 (Deep Cove) &
the North Shore Lifeboat Society, who owns and operates the North Shore's lifeboat and provides the SAR Resourses.
The Society raises the $100,000 per year to maintain and provide the Lifeboats.
All 100% volunteer contributing 10,000 volunteer and 50,000 on-call hours per year

A determined group of women started Battered Women's Support Services in 1979. Over the years, BWSS has grown into a strong & dynamic organization. We continue to provide support & advocacy for women who have experienced abuse, as well as, training & education about violence against women. In 1992, we committed to our mandate of delivering training & professional development. In 2002, we solidified our work as social entrepreneurs when we opened My Sister's Closet Thrift Boutique & our second location in 2007. In 2008, we re-envisioned our mandate of systemic advocacy & law reform. As part of the feminist anti-violence movement, our long-term goal is the elimination of all violence against women. In 2010, we launched The Violence Stops Here Campaign urging men to own their role in ending violence against women. After retiring our Dating Violence Program in 2007 we have launch Youth Engagement in Violence Prevention in 2010. We serve over 8,000 women, deliver over training and professional development to over 350 professionals each year.

The BC Lung Association began as the Anti-Tuberculosis Society in 1906 in response to the rapid spread of TB, the number one killer at the turn of the century. In July 1978, the Society changed its name to the BC Lung Association, and now focuses on the entire scope of respiratory disease including asthma, COPD (chronic bronchitis and emphysema), lung cancer, sleep apnea and tuberculosis.
A non-profit and volunteer-based health charity, The BC Lung Association depends on donations from the public to support lung health research, education, prevention and advocacy.

About 300,000 Canadians carry an inherited bleeding disorder gene. One in ten of these people—at least 30,000 Canadians—have symptoms severe enough to require medical care. Many of them have not been properly diagnosed. Only 8,000 people with inherited bleeding disorders are registered in the Canadian network of inherited bleeding disorder comprehensive care clinics.
Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS) is a registered charity that operates two shelters in the City of Richmond, British Columbia. Our first shelter, on No. 6 Road in Richmond, is North America's largest cat sanctuary. At this shelter homeless and abandoned cats and kittens are rescued and cared for. Most of these beautiful animals would have otherwise faced starvation, injury, disease and an early death due to the many hazards in their environment. The cat sanctuary is currently home to more than 800 animals.

The Grandview-Woodland Community Policing Centre is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization that works in a partnership with the Vancouver Police Department and support from the City of Vancouver to promote crime prevention and safety through a range of programs, activities and services for residents, businesses, and agencies in the Grandview-Woodland neighbourhood. The GWCPC encourages all members of the community to become active participants in raising awareness of safety, decreasing opportunities for crime to occur, and assisting the most vulnerable members of their community through education, engagement, and opportunities to volunteer.

Kiwanis Fraser Valley Music Festival Society www.kfv.ca The Kiwanis Fraser Valley Music Festival Society was founded in the Spring of 1999, becoming a non-profit society and registered charity in 2001. The Society is a system partner of Kwantlen Polytechnic University¡¯s Music Department. The event is held at Kwantlen¡¯s Langley campus as well as other Langley venues. We are a project of the Kiwanis Clubs of White Rock, Langley and Clearbrook. We are members of Performing Arts BC, the Federation of National Music Festivals and MusicFest Canada, and are supported by the Government of British Columbia through a Community Gaming Grant, the City of Langley and the Township of Langley.
Over the past eleven years, the number of entries has continually increased. In 2010, we hosted 6,401 participants, approximately 10,000 unique visitors and 20,000 person visits. For several years, we have been one of the largest annual events in the Langleys and are now the second largest educational music festival in the Province.
